Johnny and Eddie share memories and opinions about film genres, specific movies, actors, directors and other related elements of the film industry. They strive to explore the realm of film in a non-scripted, free-wheeling, often memory stoked, conversation about weekly subjects of their choosing. They hope this podcast stimulates listeners to recall their movie memories and share comments as well as offering suggestions for future episodes.
Meet The Team
Host of the We’re Talkin’ Movies Podcast!
Johnny Popcorn is literally a lifelong movie lover. His first introduction to the magic of the silver screen was at the age of seven as part of a friend’s birthday party – the movie was Shane – and that film remains a favorite western film to this day. Anyway, Johnny was hooked and spent hours and weekends at the movies. Recalling such memories allows Johnny to bring a historical prospective to the conversation and encourage older listeners to bask in similar memories. Johnny also hopes these discussions will entice younger listeners to explore movies and stars from earlier years.
Co-Host and IT Supervisor of the We’re Talkin’ Movies Podcast. Also operator of the Way-Back Machine.
Eddie Klieg has been a fan of movies since he was young. His early memories of going to the theater with his father will stay with him forever. Growing up in the 80s offered several classic movies that just had to be seen… Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi to Die Hard, Beetlejuice, Back to the Future, The Karate Kid, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, The Goonies, Ghostbusters… the list goes on and on. In the early 2000s, Eddie’s movie going experiences revolved around his two daughters which meant a bunch of Disney Princess and Pixar movies, Disney Channel movies and every Buddies movie you can think of. Over the past few years, the superhero genre has taken off and Eddie has seen every one. Eddie also enjoys Movie Night once a month with Johnny Popcorn. The conversations back and forth during the movie and for days after have lead to this very podcast.
